Surgical Workspace (OR)
Once the patient is positioned, the OR staff scrubs and dons sterile gowns, gloves, and masks. The patient is then draped, x-ray is moved in, and the surgeon comes into the room. The surgeon then double checks the patient, the surgery, the anesthesia (medications), and the positioning of the patient.

Surgical Workspace Equipment

The use of equipment allows the medical professions, like doctors, to assess a patient’s medical needs. It is important to know what different types of medical equipment are available, the different functions of each and how they all work coherently together to be able to be able to assist and treat the patient accordingly.
