Laparoscopic Hysterectomy

Hysterectomy is the most commonly performed gynecological procedure with different surgical approaches; vaginal, abdominal, and laparoscopic. Each technique comes with advantages and disadvantages for both patients and surgeons. However, minimally invasive, or laparoscopic, hysterectomy offers one of the best clinical and cosmetic outcomes for patients in a majority of cases. Minimally invasive procedures only require a few small incisions, resulting in less postoperative pain compared to an abdominal hysterectomy. The smaller abdominal incisions also result in less scarring on the abdomen.

Laparoscopic Treatment of Endometriosis

Endometriosis is probably the most challenging among benign gynecologic diseases in terms of epidemiologic spread and the impact on women’s quality of life, and the management of these patients still has shortcomings in a number of respects. The laparoscopic approach to deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) is one of the most difficult gynecological procedures.

Owing to the pathophysiology of the disease, retroperitoneal fibrosis, and the alteration of anatomic structures, the surgical approach to endometriosis needs a sophisticated strategy.

PLASMA/TCRis

TCRis (Trans Cervical Resection in saline) / PLASMA is a safe and fast way to treat abnormal bleeding by endometrial ablation, or bipolar resection of intracavitary myomas, uterine septa or uterine polyps. By using saline, the risk of hyponatremia is significantly reduced with the TCRis system.

The enhanced hysteroscopic fluid management system HysteroFlow / HysteroBalance II helps to ensure patient safety through fast and accurate pressure control, a visual and acoustic overpressure and perforation alarm, and an exact measurement of in- and outflow.

Hysteroscopy

Modern hysteroscopy provides gynecologic healthcare providers with a minimally invasive means to investigate symptoms or problems such as bleedings, to diagnose conditions like fibroids and polyps, but also to treat conditions and problems by removing fibroids, polyps, displaced intrauterine devices (IUDs), and intrauterine adhesions.
