3 Operating theatres at the newly constructed Mbabane Government Hospital Referral and Emergency Complex

On the 15th of October 2021, Avoma Life in collaboration with the CECI Engineering consultants – Taiwan, Microprojects and MA Consulting, opened 3 x Operating theatres together with his Majesty KMIII and other dignitaries at the newly constructed Mbabane Government Hospital Referral and Emergency Complex.

The 3 Variop Modular Operating theatres with Laminar flow Theatre HVAC were custom Manufactured according to specification by Maquet in Germany.

The Modular structured theatres are the first of its kind in Eswatini and boast impressive built in elements and surgical technology. Technology like the Maquet Tegris which simplifies management of your varied video sources. Whether you have microscopes, endoscopes, room cameras or feeds from outside the OR, Tegris helps you integrate them all. It also ensures quick and easy access to relevant patient images during surgery through easy-to-use interfaces and integration with hospital information systems (HIS). This is all for a simpler safer and more streamlined working environment, enabling OR staff to focus on providing the best possible care for patients.

Each Operating Theatre room was installed with a MAQUET VOLISTA Surgical Light and two of the three operating rooms each with a MAQUET ALPHACLASSIC PRO surgical table and one room with the MAQUET LYRA – SURGICAL TABLE.

The MAQUET MODUEVO SURGICAL PENDANT and MAQUET PLG II ANAESTHESIA PENDANT are versatile space saving pendants which allow for free range and give maximum coverage and movement in the operating theatre allowing the OR staff to concentrate on the patient and not the devices.

To add the completion of this project the MGH Morgue was also installed with 4 x Maquet Lucea wall mounted Examination lights these surgical lights have been specifically developed to provide any operating room with Led technology to support minor surgical procedures.
